Understanding how the refurbishing process works may help resolve any concerns you have about buying something refurbished. Typically, most of the components in these cell phones are replaced, leaving you with a new screen, memory processor, and more, but because of the stigma of refurbishing, they turn out to be really cheap cell phones.<br />

<strong><u>2.</u> </strong><span class="instructionBold"><u><strong>Eliminate features you don't need</strong></u>.</span> Just like buying a new car, the latest features are sold at a premium. Cheaper models don't include the very latest technology, but they still include great features. If you can eliminate features you probably won't use, like PDA capabilities, a music player, and other high-end features, you'll wind up with a varied selection of cheap cell phones with exactly the features you need.<br />

<strong>Price</strong>: from £159<br />
<strong>OS</strong>: <strong><span style="color: #2f6e91;">Android 4.1 Jelly Bean</span></strong><br />
<strong>Review score</strong>: 4.5/5<br />
With a quad-core processor, beefy 12-core GPU, 7-inch HD IPS display and being the first device to run Android Jelly Bean, the Google Nexus 7 is quite simply the best budget tablet out there.<br />
<br />
The 16GB version is available for just £159, while the 32GB model will only set you back £199. It's quite possibly the bargain of the century.<br />
<br />
There are a few shortcomings – such as no microSD card slot, meaning you're stuck with 32GB at most, and no rear camera – although these can be easily overlooked at this startlingly attractive price.<br />

1. iPad mini</h3>
<figure><img alt="iPad mini" src="http://cdn4.mos.techradar.futurecdn.net//art/tablets/iPad/iPadMini/Press/iPadMini-Press-06-580-90.jpg" width="580" /></figure><br />
<strong>Price</strong>: from £269<br /><strong>OS</strong>: <strong><span style="color: #2f6e91;">iOS 6</span></strong><br /><strong>Review score</strong>: 4.5/5<br />
<br />
Apple's former CEO Steve Jobs famously slammed small tablets a few years back, leading many to believe the Cupertino-based firm would never dabble in the budget end of the market, but here we are.<br />
In terms of consistency in the tablet market Apple cannot be matched, as it now lays claim to the first two places in our top 10, with the iPad mini the jewel in an already glistening crown.<br />
The slight downsides to the iPad mini are that it misses out on a Retina display and it pushes the upper end of the budget price bracket, but you can justify that price with its slick operation and premium build quality, letting you know you have a top piece of kit in your hand - as we said in our review "the iPad mini is the best iPad Apple has ever created."<br />

Take a look below and decide which features fit your lifestyle best.<br />
<h2>
Cameras & MP3 players</h2>
<img align="right" alt="Cameras & MP3 players" class="rightimg" src="http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/buyersguide/images/mobile_phone/mobile-pic4.jpg" height="241" width="187" />Many people take snapshots with their mobile phone, so it's no surprise they want a great built-in digital camera. Today's mobile phones – with digital cameras of up to 8 megapixels – take great snapshots, and many can shoot short video clips, too.<br />
<br />
Some mobile phones also contain radios and MP3 players, so you can listen to music when you're not making calls. In addition, many models can do smart stuff like pausing the music if a call comes in, meaning no fumbling.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<h2>
Style & shape</h2>
<img align="right" alt="Candybar" class="rightimg" src="http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/buyersguide/images/mobile_phone/mobile-pic5.jpg" height="195" width="138" />The smaller the mobile phone, the handier it is to carry around.There are three main styles: candybar (the standard bar-shaped traditional phone), clamshell (with a flip cover) and the slider (where the keypad slides out from under the screen). <br />
Candybar designs are all-in-one, with screen and controls on a single rectangular block. They're robust and easy to use, so look at candybar designs if your phone gets the odd bit of rough treatment. Clamshell mobile phones are also good for this, as the screen is protected from scratching.<br />
Clamshell designs have a screen that 'folds over' the keyboard, which you open up to use it. They're fun to use, and often have bigger screens and keyboards than candybar designs despite being smaller when folded up. Also, having the buttons protected means the phone won’t accidentally dial your friends when it bumps against something in your bag!<br />
<img align="right" alt="Clamshell" class="rightimg" src="http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/buyersguide/images/mobile_phone/mobile-pic6.jpg" height="213" width="69" /><img align="right" alt="Slider" class="rightimg" src="http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/buyersguide/images/mobile_phone/mobile-pic7.jpg" height="193" width="69" />You’ll also see variants of clamshells like ‘twist’ phones, where the screen can turn around 180 degrees to keep everything on display without having to open it up.<br />
Like clamshells, slider designs also protect the screen by keeping the keypad retracted underneath. This often means the screen can be bigger – handy if you're planning to use your phone as a PDA (personal diary and organiser) too. Mobile phones also come in a range of colours, so you can pick one in your favourite colour or that matches your favourite outfit!<br />
<br />
<br />
<h2>
Screen size</h2>
<img align="right" alt="Screen size" class="rightimg" src="http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/buyersguide/images/mobile_phone/mobile-pic8.jpg" height="216" width="94" />Today's mobile phones have excellent clear, full-colour screens. The main factor determining screen size is how you'll use your phone. Do you mostly make calls, and just need clear digits and contact names on the screen? If so, go for a smaller screen, since it should increase battery life and 'talk time'.<br />
<br />
If you expect to use your phone for web surfing and email on the go, then look for a larger screen. A screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels is ideal for checking email or looking at mobile web pages – and it'll show your To-Do list, calendar, or contacts list if you want, too.<br />
<br />
<br />
<h2>
Other features</h2>
<img align="right" alt="Other features" class="rightimg" src="http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/buyersguide/images/mobile_phone/mobile-pic9.jpg" height="209" width="170" />All phones connect to the UK's GSM network as standard. Many also connect to the GPRS data network for light email and data, and increasingly phones are able to use 3G – a high-speed data network. So if you'd like to use your phone as a pocket-sized Internet and email device, look for 3G.<br />
<br />
Bluetooth is another useful option if you travel a lot. It's how your phone connects to a wireless headset or satellite navigation device in your car – keeping your hands free and your eyes on the road. (Remember it's illegal to make calls while driving without hands-free). A Bluetooth connection also lets your phone exchange data <br />
with other devices like your sat nav, and at zero cost!<br />
<h2>
Mobile accessories</h2>
<img align="right" alt="Mobile accessories" class="rightimg" src="http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/buyersguide/images/mobile_phone/mobile-pic10.jpg" height="255" width="200" />It's a good idea to buy a spare charger, so you can keep one at work or in the car as well as at home without carrying it around all the time.<br />
<br />
And if you drive, a hands-free car kit is essential – it lets you make calls without having to stop. Remember, holding a mobile phone and talking while driving is illegal in the UK. A Bluetooth headset is ideal – all Bluetooth headsets work with all Bluetooth phones, so there's no need to match your models.<br />
<br />
Or perhaps you like to listen to music, using your mobile as an MP3 player? A memory card will expand the space on your phone for storing music. Of course, it can store other data too, such as photographs or video clips. Different phones take different cards: when buying a card (Mini-SD, Micro-SD, and M2 are the common ones) make sure it'll fit your phone.<br />
<br />
Don't forget<br />
A phone with Internet access is not the same as an Internet Phone. Software such as Skype can let you use your mobile phone with Internet access to make calls using the Internet, but Internet access on mobile phones can be expensive. <br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 1em;">
"Starting April 1, 2013, AdSense will no longer calculate and report AdSense for Content Host earnings for YouTube partners. Instead, AdSense earnings from YouTube videos will only be calculated by YouTube and displayed in YouTube Analytics." - from YT blog <span style="color: #1155cc;">http://youtubecreator.<wbr></wbr>blogspot.ro/2013/03/were-<wbr></wbr>simplifying-earnings-<wbr></wbr>reporting-for.html</span> I've given the report below,</div>
<h3 class="post-title entry-title" itemprop="name">
"We’re simplifying earnings reporting for all partners </h3>
<div class="post-header">
<div class="post-header-line-1">
</div>

<div class="post-body entry-content" id="post-body-1391150597231686549" itemprop="description articleBody">
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

<div class="normal">
One of the most exciting things about YouTube is all the partners building businesses around doing what they love. We now have thousands of partners who are making video creation a full-time endeavor. And, we’re listening to feedback and working to improve the process of earning money on YouTube.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="normal">
<br /></div>
<div class="normal">
So, in an effort to ensure we deliver our partners the most accurate and consistent financial performance data for their videos, we are making some changes in how YouTube interacts with AdSense. Starting April 1, 2013, AdSense will no longer calculate and report AdSense for Content Host earnings for YouTube partners. Instead, AdSense earnings from YouTube videos will only be calculated by YouTube and displayed in YouTube Analytics. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="normal">
<br /></div>
<div class="normal">
<b>What does this mean for you as a YouTube partner? </b><o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="normal">
First, expect no change in how you are paid. The payments tab in AdSense will show your monthly YouTube payments as one total amount as you will continue to be paid via AdSense. Rather, this change means that if you want to view your YouTube financial performance, you should go to <span style="color: #1155cc;">YouTube Analytics</span> where you can continue to find a comprehensive view of all your sources of earnings for your YouTube videos. YouTube Analytics has improved the timeliness of earnings reporting to within 24 hours after the end of the day, Pacific Time. You can still view page views and clicks and also manage ad blocking in the AdSense interface for your YouTube videos. If you use other AdSense products, their calculation and reports will be unchanged in the AdSense reporting interface. <o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="normal">
<br /></div>
<div class="normal">
Have you ever wondered what the difference between AdSense earnings and YouTube earnings was? As a bit of background, many YouTube partners have ad earnings from two sources: auction-sold ads (AdSense earnings) and reserve-sold ads (YouTube earnings). YouTube serves the optimal ads when a viewer watches the video. Previously, AdSense calculated and reported the auction-sold AdSense earnings. YouTube calculated reserve-sold and miscellaneous earnings and reported both AdSense and YouTube earnings. Now, having only the YouTube system calculate all your earnings will simplify and streamline your video reporting. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="normal">
<br /></div>
<div class="normal">
We take accurate financial calculation and reporting very seriously, and believe this change will reduce reporting confusion and prepare all our partners for new ways to grow their earnings."</div>
<div class="normal">
</div>
<div class="normal">
So now Youtube earnings will be shown on adsense page. The one page we all refresh everyday,hour,minute to see our estimated earnings. I see many people creating threads : earnings frozen, earnings stuck as of april 1 , Adsense doesnt show estimated earnings anymore, etc etc.</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 1em;">
For someone with multiple YT accounts its hell now checking on each and every account, for estimated earnings now. Considering the YT analytics days lag behind.</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 1em;">
How do you see your estimated earnings in adsense as of april 1st now? Simple!</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 1em;">
<b>Go to your Adsense page>click view full reports>click Hosted Adsense for Content. This is your youtube earnings right here, just as before April 1, just moved to a new location.</b></div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 1em;">
This is it folks. Hope this solves the problem for everyone asking themselves now : why my estimated earnings is stuck, frozen, not reporting to adsense page.</div>

<h3>
STEP 1: FIRST CHECK TOP COMPARISON SITES</h3>
<span class="disclaimer" style="font-size: 11px;">The comparison sites below are good for boiler cover comparisons, but not necessarily for other products. Check the Cheapest Gas & Electricity and Home Phones guides for advice on those products.</span><br />
<div class="bestDropdown">
<h3>
uSwitch for range and power</h3>
<i></i><img src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/uswitchlogo.gif" />The widest, most powerful comparison is offered by uSwitch*, and it only takes a couple of minutes. Enter basic home and boiler details and it will return quotes based on the age and model of your boiler, excluding policies that won't cover you. <br />
It doesn't cover every insurer, so it's worth trying a couple more below to ensure you get the widest reach.</div>
<div class="bestDropdown">
<h3>
Extra comparisons to increase your quotes</h3>
A few more comparison sites are worth looking at to increase the number of insurers searched but they only list policies worth investigating further - they don't provide quotes based on your info.<br />
<i></i><img src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/ehelpLinesml.jpg" />Energyhelpline* is a less functional search and includes fewer providers. But it's still worth checking as it covers different firms to uSwitch. <br />
<span style="clear: left;"><i></i></span><img src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/boilerchoices.jpg" /><div style="margin-top: 30px;">
It may also be worth checking Boiler Choices*, which includes a couple of providers not searched by other comparison sites.</div>
<span style="clear: left;"><i></i></span><img src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/msmsml.jpg" /><div style="margin-top: 30px;">
If you've time, check MoneySupermarket's* listings to see if any policies suit what you're after.<span class="disclaimer" style="font-size: 11px;"></span></div>
<div style="clear: both; height: 0px; line-height: 0;">
</div>
</div>
<h3>
STEP 2: GET QUOTES FROM ALL THE ONES THEY MISS</h3>
Some providers or their offers aren't always included in comparisons, so for full belt 'n' braces you should get a quote from some of these too. <br />
<div class="bestDropdown">
<h3>
Npower (includes annual service/ boiler check)</h3>
<img alt="nPower" src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/npowersml.gif" />Npower's Hometeam* Boiler Care Flexi costs £9.95/mth for the first year (usually £11.50 p/mth). It includes an annual boiler service & safety check, unlimited call-outs and repairs (£50 excess/call which is relatively standard). This is open to anyone, including non-Npower customers. <br />
If you are looking for that bit more cover, with no call out fees, the Hometeam Central Heating Care* contract will also cover the central heating system, and your controls, at £15 a month for the first year (usually £17.50 per month).<br />
It's worth being aware this is actually a 'service agreement', not insurance. Read How am I protected? for an explanation of what this means.</div>
<div class="bestDropdown">
<h3>
Eon - Unlimited callouts</h3>
<img alt="Eon" src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/eonsml.gif" />Eon's Central Heating Care comes in a number of shapes and sizes. Again, you don't need to be a customer to get this cover.<br />
The cheapest is £12.25 per month (but you pay the first £50 toward any repairs on your boiler), up to an all-encompassing policy, including water and electrics, for £21.25/mth. <br />
It's worth being aware this is actually a 'service agreement' not insurance - read How am I protected? for an explanation of what this means.</div>
<div class="bestDropdown">
<h3>
Green Insurance (Boiler/Emergency Homecare)</h3>
<img alt="Green Ins" height="70" src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/greenins.jpg" width="100" />This Green Insurance* policy offers the cheapest premium at £8.33 p/mth (£99.96 annually). It offers a mixture of boiler and emergency care cover.<br />
Unlike other boiler protection policies, an annual service is not included within the premium.<br />
This product's new, therefore, your feedback would be great.<br />
It's worth being aware this is actually a 'service agreement' not insurance - read How am I protected? for an explanation of what this means.</div>
<h3>
Plus a few home emergency policies to consider</h3>
A home emergency policy looks at more than just boiler cover. Central heating and hot water, burst pipes, blocked drains, leaking roofs, broken windows and overnight accommodation are likely automatic inclusions. But the maximum amount that'll get paid out if you need your boiler fixed is much lower.<br />
<div class="bestDropdown">
<h5>
Direct Line - 15% off online</h5>
<img alt="Direct Line" src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/directLinesml.gif" />Direct Line offers 15% off its Home Response 24 policy online. It's not included in any comparison sites, so you must go direct to check its prices. <br />
It's an emergency policy so won't cover everyday problems, but it does have a 24-hour callout line, and covers electrical wiring, security issues and more.</div>
<div class="bestDropdown">
<h5>
Swinton Home Emergency from £5/month</h5>
<img alt="USwitch" src="http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/swintonsml.gif" />Swinton* offers two options: a £4.99/month Home Emergency policy and a £6.99/mth option which adds cover for glass, locks and roof damage. Both currently offer three months' free cover.<a href="" id="alt" name="alt"></a><br />

<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">

<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
Over the last ten years I have spent a small fortune on cars. As soon as I have bought one I find myself thinking about what’s next.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
And the good news is that my next motor could be pretty cheap. That’s because used car prices have tumbled in recent months – thanks to a combination of the credit crunch and record fuel prices. And while fuel has dropped from the high of 120p per litre in July to around the 85p mark, car prices have not rebounded. So if you are looking to change car, now is a great time to buy second hand.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
So here are three tips to help you get a good used car deal.</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #362f2d; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 30px; list-style-type: none; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">1) Un-cool is cool, but don’t go ugly early</strong></h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
If a car was un-cool originally, by the time it is resold the price will have plummeted. These are the ones to get if you are not so bothered about image, and simply want a decent car.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
In fact, you can get a decent un-cool car for £3k or £4k. And you are not looking at something that old either. In a quick search of cars priced at less than £4k on Auto Trader, I found more than 10,000 that have less than 40,000 miles on the clock and are less than 5 years old. They won’t all be good cars, but a good proportion will be.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
Be careful though. When you’re buying a car that is less than cool, <strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">don’t buy it when it is new or nearly new</strong>. Do this and you will lose out. It doesn’t matter how good the deal looks – the price will still have a long way to drop one or two years down the line.</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #362f2d; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 30px; list-style-type: none; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">2) Buy cheap, buy twice.</strong></h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
Don’t buy a car on price alone. It’s easy to look at the small ads and go for the lowest cost option. It may be a very decent car, but make sure you check these vital points first:</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">A) History:</strong> Is it too good to be true? Make sure the card hasn’t been crashed or stolen and that the mileage is genuine. <span style="color: #625b59;">Cartextcheck.co.uk</span> will do a basic check via your mobile for £3; I have always used <span style="color: #625b59;">HPicheck.com</span>. This excellent service costs £20.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">B) Next service date:</strong> Check when the last service was and when the next one is needed. The cost will depend on the car and which service it is. Look the model up on <span style="color: #625b59;">parkers.co.uk</span> to find out the service intervals. A quick call to the dealer will let you know the approximate cost of a service. If the car is getting close to 60,000 miles, ask when the cam belt needs changing as this can often be an expensive job.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">C) Tyres :</strong> The cheapest set of tyres for a small car will set you back at least £100, for a medium saloon with ‘branded’ tyres you are looking at £250+, so if the tyres are not great, take this into account when you negotiate the purchase price.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">D) MOT</strong> – If a car has a short MOT, you may get caught out if it needs work. Add to that the £40+ for the MOT and you could be looking a quite a bill.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">E) Tax</strong> – 12 months tax on a mid-sized saloon will cost around £200, down to £0 for the very smallest ‘green’ cars. If there’s no tax paid on the car, take this into account and drive down the purchase price.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
On top of these points, make sure you add your time into the equation. If you have to take a day out to get tyres, tax and an MOT , it will also cost you a day of holiday, or valuable weekend time.</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #362f2d; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 30px; list-style-type: none; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">3) Keep an eye on running costs</strong></h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
So you have got a real bargain. The car has been serviced, has decent tyres and so on. But before you commit, make sure it won’t hammer you on the road. Check out:</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">A)</strong> <strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Future tax banding –</strong> Car Tax will increase very slightly from April 2009 for an average vehicle, and then by around £20-£25 from April 2010. Parkers.co.uk has tax prices by model. If you go for something really polluting, you could be looking at £455 per year!</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">B) Fuel economy –</strong> A massive proportion of any running cost. The price of fuel has come down, and it looks like it will stay down for a while, but 85p per litre is still not cheap. Make sure you know the miles per gallon, how many miles you will do annually and budget accordingly.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">C) Insurance –</strong> Get a quote before you buy, and make sure you don’t take the first quote. Our online <span style="color: #625b59;">car insurance search engine</span> will take about 5 minutes to search up to 400 policies; the saving could be the most you will earn in 5 minutes.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
In part two I will be looking at where you can shop around, whether you should buy petrol or diesel, and how being clever with your financing could save you hundreds.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
I’m also going to put my money where my mouth is. My Porsche is up for sale and I’m going to get a replacement for less than £5k including insurance, finance and maintenance. I’ll let you know how I get on. Until then drive carefully.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 23px; list-style-type: none; padding: 0px 0px 12px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
With mobile phone bills making up a big part of many people’s monthly expenditure, it’s important to make sure you’re on the right deal – and don’t get stung down the line.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
So what questions should you ask yourself before you opt for a new deal?</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRm5zaiUIMCNZjBysVfZUBgQRfMOUMj4SzgjDDodV9pOWUzUWS7J7ltRWd6SPLnbnjawE1c4CIluVIqi_cs8UGJIaXsc_gKfH6QkOAE2QFzY1lTvx3F4S7-YArRi6Ms_AuJWOy7s_QJa1f/s1600/iphone5.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRm5zaiUIMCNZjBysVfZUBgQRfMOUMj4SzgjDDodV9pOWUzUWS7J7ltRWd6SPLnbnjawE1c4CIluVIqi_cs8UGJIaXsc_gKfH6QkOAE2QFzY1lTvx3F4S7-YArRi6Ms_AuJWOy7s_QJa1f/s1600/iphone5.png" height="299" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 15px; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>1. Research</strong></h3>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Before you start looking for a new deal, consider your current mobile phone usage. Whether you’re on pay-as-you-go, a contract or a SIM-only deal, ask your current network provider how many minutes you use and how many texts you send on average each month.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
If you tend to exceed your free minutes, then you need to consider a deal that offers you a higher monthly allowance. However, depending on the cost of calls and texts, and by how much you exceed your limit, opting for a more generous inclusive deal might not actually work out cheaper. Be prepared to do your sums.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
If you consistently under use your free minutes, then you might save money by opting for a pay-as-you-go deal. Again, you’ll need to work out how much you’re likely to spend each month on calls and texts if you weren’t on an inclusive deal – different networks will list their call and text price lists online, so use these to compare the cost with your monthly contract bill.</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 15px; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>2. Network coverage</strong></h3>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Do you have coverage problems and any network preference? If you are considering moving to a different network provider, then it’s worth checking what the coverage is like in your area. Ask other people what networks they use and find out if they’ve suffered any issues with coverage.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Mobile phone providers tend to offer tools on their websites to allow you to find out what the coverage is like in your chosen UK postcode.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Mobilephonecoverage.me.uk, meanwhile, allows you to check mobile phone coverage by providing links to the relevant pages of different providers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Sw1PnJeaGl2rqibIkKEW3h935gsNX5bV0MHSBcSo9jMxbbdJ94rq6HjTdnNHr59VBB-N0ZwGGnu217s8RaTo34T20jlTHzWip0775wU0XMIuoLckwwvOma0EDKEz2K_qJXkKQ1uN9Wid/s1600/Motorollo.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Sw1PnJeaGl2rqibIkKEW3h935gsNX5bV0MHSBcSo9jMxbbdJ94rq6HjTdnNHr59VBB-N0ZwGGnu217s8RaTo34T20jlTHzWip0775wU0XMIuoLckwwvOma0EDKEz2K_qJXkKQ1uN9Wid/s1600/Motorollo.png" height="292" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>3. 3G coverage</strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
People are increasingly opting for mobile phone with 3G – or third generation – services. These allow you to connect to the web via a mobile network or by using a dongle in your laptop. Over two million new connections to the 3G network were made between February 2008 and February 2009 alone, according to Ofcom.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
It provides <span style="color: #000066;"><b>3G coverage maps </b></span>on its website, which show the coverage of all UK networks.</div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>4. Handsets</strong><strong><br /></strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
The latest handset tend to be offered on more expensive monthly contracts. McHugh recommends that people consider the type/model of handset they need, including the features they are actually going to use.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Committing to a 12 or 24-month contract only to find the handset is hard to use or has irritating peculiarities is a costly mistake.Make a shortlist of the handsets you would like and research reviews – you can find plenty online in forums and on specialist mobile phone review sites, as well as in magazines.</div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>5. Operating platforms</strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
In addition to handsets, you can now choose from a number of operating platforms that your mobile will operate on. This is the interface of the phone and offers various features that can also be synched with your desktop - calendars, diaries and applications, for example.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
McHugh says platforms - such as Google's Android, Apple's operating system, Symbian, Windows, Blackberry, Maemo - all offer a “unique operating system” with different features and benefits, so it’s worth researching what you feel will be best for you in terms of features and usability.</div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>6. Shops versus the internet</strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
High street mobile phone shops are a good place to find out more about different tariffs and handsets, but don’t discount the internet as a place to shop.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
You can look at deals on individual providers’ websites, and also use price comparison websites such as rightmobilephone.co.uk, omio.com and moneysupermarket.com.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2WnznnMBaaSsEjoRq43EuVKkm9i8IthzaELw2nZ9ANqrRONQfunSFl4WKTrWa1048VNnSG6YU4fbwwBS208ovnJu1c93vaaehW3hkcMQgqvxQJtEUSWxF6-IS1RAmRTJnxRxg6QIirgNS/s1600/nokio.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2WnznnMBaaSsEjoRq43EuVKkm9i8IthzaELw2nZ9ANqrRONQfunSFl4WKTrWa1048VNnSG6YU4fbwwBS208ovnJu1c93vaaehW3hkcMQgqvxQJtEUSWxF6-IS1RAmRTJnxRxg6QIirgNS/s1600/nokio.jpg" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>7. Freebies</strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Many providers will offer free gifts in order to tempt you to sign up – but it’s important to look beyond the freebies to see if the deal really is right for you.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
“Tariffs that come with a free item, such as a games console, often come with a low text and minute allowance, as the retailer has to make up the money for the gift somehow,” says McHugh.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Check the tariff carefully before committing, just to ensure it will be suitable for the length of the contract.</div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>8. Contract commitment</strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Opting for a long contract term could see you offered a cheaper monthly rate, but this could be a false economy. For a start, your circumstances might change over the period, or you might simply change your mind.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
New handsets and contract offers come out all the time, so making a long-term commitment to a contract could see you lose out down the line.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
If you do opt for a contract deal, then consider the cost of each contract over the term – this might be 12, 18 or even 24 months. So, rather than working out monthly payments, do your sums to find out your total financial commitment for the duration of the contract.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCq0rx-oBFsGqjCYq-yXAa7Y8BMrnYWfXTosyZoV01U3LlFDAQ1q-Z6Bbq6x7NamTUaze3Qw58s-DxD6BlhVzE-_vW0APkChD0Q_0y2eaczNLS_7aTtYI1RKGzJv6CqEchKFUih9EvA2Mn/s1600/android.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCq0rx-oBFsGqjCYq-yXAa7Y8BMrnYWfXTosyZoV01U3LlFDAQ1q-Z6Bbq6x7NamTUaze3Qw58s-DxD6BlhVzE-_vW0APkChD0Q_0y2eaczNLS_7aTtYI1RKGzJv6CqEchKFUih9EvA2Mn/s1600/android.png" height="334" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>9. Alternatives to contracts</strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
While contracts are great for free call and text bundles, if you don’t use your mobile regularly then you may be better off opting for pay-as-you-go instead. Just make sure you keep track of what you are spending on calls and texts; it’s easy to fall into the habit of constantly topping up your phone without realising how much you are spending.<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
If you would prefer a contract deal with free bundles, but are happy with the phone you already have, then why not consider a SIM-only deal? These monthly contracts tend to be cheaper and are offered by all the major networks.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
The benefit of a SIM-only deal is that you aren’t tied into a long-term contract, and can normally cancel by giving just 30 days' notice. And with a range of packages available, you could also save money on your monthly bill.</div>
<h3 style="font-size: 15px; margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;">
<strong>10. Small print</strong></h3>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
Check the small print and don't be afraid to ask questions or for clarification before you sign up for a contract, SIM-only deal or handset. Also ask about the returns or fault policy, and whether you can cancel your contract penalty-free down the line.</div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="padding: 0px 0px 10px;">

</div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px; padding: 0px;">
Insurance quotes can vary dramatically for your car, so it is definitely worth shopping around for Insurance premiums. Therefore start by deciding what cover you want and ensuring you're as low a risk as possible so that you get the best deal.</div>
<ul style="border: 0px; list-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Try a price comparison website like <span style="color: #444444;"><span style="cursor: pointer; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial;">www.moneysupermarket.com</span></span> or <span style="color: #444444;"><span style="cursor: pointer; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial;">www.confused.com</span></span>. Simply type in your details and they will then and compare the price of hundreds of insurance premiums.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Some special deals might not be mentioned by comparison services. So once you’ve used the comparisons try these other providers which are not on the comparison websites as researched by <span style="color: #444444;"><span style="cursor: pointer; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial;">www.moneysavingexpert.com</span></span>.</li>

<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Your job is important as all insurers keep a record of past claims made by each occupation, so they can see which are the most risky and more likely to claim. <span style="color: #444444;"><span style="cursor: pointer; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial;">www.moneysavingexpert.com</span></span> has built a tool to help you find a suitable cheaper alternative job title, but without having to get a new job.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Double check the quotes - Click through to the insurance provider's own website to double check the quotes, as some comparison sites make a few assumptions.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Examine the policies coverage. Is the policy suitable for you? So if you want "free car hire" if your car is being fixed, is it included? Plus while you're there it's worth playing with the policy details to see if you can finesse the price down; look at the excess, and whether adding drivers cuts the cost.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Breakdown cover – check if your policy includes breakdown cover, if not, then ensure that you arrange it.</li>

Turning off your air conditioning is a simple yet effective energy efficient solution to help you cut back on your fuel costs.</div>
<ul style="border: 0px; list-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Did you know that air-con uses a large amount of fuel when driving at a slower speed, so if you use the windows and sunroof instead to cool you down, it will save you money on your car's fuel consumption.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">However, driving with your windows and sunroof open while going fast down the motorway can reduce fuel efficiency by 10%, as an open window increases drag and burns more fuel. <div style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px; padding: 0px;">
By being aware of your car tyre pressure it can help you with safer motoring. You must:</div>
<ul style="border: 0px; list-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Religiously check your car's tyre pressure each week with a high quality gage</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Tyres that are under-inflated will reduce fuel efficiency by as much as 3% for every 0.1 bar that the tyre is under-inflated so ensure that the pressure is correct (1.6 mm)</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">The amount you save all really lies on the type of tyres you have and the car you drive (and of course, the way you drive it), but according to Autotrader, under inflated tyres can increase fuel consumption by 5%</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">For further information on your tyres read our article <strong style="border: 0px; color: #333333; cursor: pointer; list-style: none; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;">Tyre care for your car</strong></li>
</ul>
<div class="tip" style="border: 0px; list-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; position: relative;">
<h2 style="border: 0px; font-size: 13px; list-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" /><br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" /> </h2>
<h2 style="border: 0px; font-size: 13px; list-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
10. Less weight means more miles!<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" /> </h2>
</div>
<ul style="border: 0px; list-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Lastly try to ensure that you carry around as little as possible in your car as the extra weight will mean using extra petrol. Clear out boots and unnessecary objects on seats etc as they all add to your fuel economy.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Because fuel is also heavy, every time you fill up you'll be adding weight to your car.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">A heavy car will burn more fuel, making it less economical, and therefore costing you more to run. So, filling up slightly more often and putting slightly less in will make the car run more efficiently.</li>
<li style="border: 0px; color: #585858; line-height: 20px; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px;">Try to fill up at least fifty miles before your tank runs dry. That way there'll be no panic about running out of petrol, and you'll have enough time to get to a cheaper petrol station. If you leave it until the tank is virtually empty you'll end up filling up at the next garage you see, which could well be one of the most expensive in the area. When you're filling up, aim for your tank being between half and three quarters full.</li>

Comprehensive or Third party? What to choose</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
There are three types of insurance to choose from and you should consider all the options to get the right type. Also, once you've chosen make sure you check your policy carefully, so you know exactly what you are and aren't covered for in the event of a claim.</div>
<div class="bluetitle" style="background-color: white; border-bottom-color: rgb(96, 186, 92); border-bottom-style: solid; border-width: 0px 0px 1px; color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold; line-height: inherit; margin-left: 0pt; margin-right: 0pt; margin-top: 12px; padding: 0pt 0pt 5px;">
Third Party</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
The minimum level of cover you need to legally be able to drive on the roads is called 'Third Party'. It used to be the cheapest type of insurance but now bizarrely fully comprehensive policies can often be cheaper. Never assuem one costs less than the other; quote both.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Third Party covers you for any damage you cause to another person's vehicle and protection for any passengers in your car.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Therefore, if you are in an accident and it is your fault, you will have to pay for any repairs to your own car yourself, as your insurance won't cover it. It's more expensive because it's assumed you care less about your car and are therefore more likely to have an accident.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
It’s generally the most suitable for those…</div>
<ul style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 18px 18px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;">With cars worth less than £1000</li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;">Aged under 25</li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;">Without a no-claims bonus</li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;">Or living in a high risk area</li>
</ul>
<div class="bold" style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Third Party Fire and Theft</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Third party fire and theft has the same level of cover as third party insurance. However, self evidently, it also has the additional cover of assistance if your car is stolen or is set on fire.</div>
<div class="bluetitle" style="background-color: white; border-bottom-color: rgb(96, 186, 92); border-bottom-style: solid; border-width: 0px 0px 1px; color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold; line-height: inherit; margin-left: 0pt; margin-right: 0pt; margin-top: 12px; padding: 0pt 0pt 5px;">
Fully Comprehensive</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
This is the widest level of cover but can be the cheapest. The big advantage is if you have an accident and it was your fault you will be able to claim the cost of repairing your own car, and cover personal injury costs, as well as those of the other drivers.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
The cover also includes accidental damage and vandalism, for example if somebody causes damage to your car when it is parked in the street and they then drive off. Plus you'll usually (though not always, so do check your policy details carefully) be able to drive other people's cars if you have their permission, although this is likely to be only be Third Party. Sometimes you'll be covered for driving hire cars too.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Fully Comp is a good idea if your car is worth more than £1,500 and gets more important the more valuable you car is. Many insurers will only offer fully comprehensive cover for higher value cars anyway.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
There are a few ways of cutting the cost of fully-comprehensive cover, <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Tesco Value</span></span> insurance offers a comprehensive policy but limits the repairs to garages it has relationships with, which lowers the cost. However this doesn’t automatically make it cheapest, ensure you first use the comparison sites in the<span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Cheapest Car Insurance</span></span> article to check.</div>
<div class="bold" style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Don’t think third party’s cheaper than comprehensive</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Counter logically lesser third-party policies often cost more than fully-comp.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Why? Car insurance rates are set by actuaries, who’s job is to calculate risk. And it’s likely third-party buyers are on average a higher-risk group, perhaps as overall they care less about their cars, and so prices are pushed up. To illustrate this in one low risk driver quote, we found £290 for fully-comp compared to £406 third-party.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Yet this isn’t a hard rule, third-party can win, but for price’s sake always check comprehensive out too, use the main <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Cheap Car Insurance</span></span> guide to compare.</div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;"></span><h2 class="blueMSEBar" style="background-color: #0c0e9b; background-image: url(http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/BlueBars_pig.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border: 0px; clear: both; color: white; font-family: arial; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24px; margin: 30px 0px 30px 22px; min-height: 34px; padding: 13px 0px 0px; text-align: center; width: 566px;">
Reduce your risk, reduce your cost</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Every application for car insurance is different. Each insurer’s price depend on two things, first the underwriters assessment of your particular risk focus and then the pricing model which dictates what type of customers the insurer wants to attract.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
Therefore by reducing an insurer’s perception of your risk you can reduce the price you’ll pay. There are of course many factors you either can’t change or can’t change easily … age, gender, where you live and driving history. Yet there are things you can have control over:</div>
<ul style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 18px 18px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Park and drive carefully</b><br /><br />Theft and accidental damage add a bulk to insurance costs. If you leave your car in a garage or driveway it’s a big deterrent to theft and means accidental damage is less likely, resulting in a 3% - 7% drop in insurance costs.<br /><br />And of course the more points on your licence the higher the cost. While speeding points remain on your licence for four years insurers check for convictions during the last five before they are removed from your record.<br /><br />One speeding conviction may only affect the price of cover by around 5% but any more’ll bump up the price, with two offences costing around 20% more. Being caught with a mobile phone is more serious and can double your quote!</li>
<br /><br />
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Add a second person to an under-25s / high risk drivers insurance</b><br /><br />Insuring someone aged under 25 can cost a fortune. Yet by adding a second driver with a good record to the insurance, even if they won't use the car often, it can smooth out the average risk and sometimes reduce the premium. It won't always work, but it’s worth playing with quotes to check.<br /><br />However at no point should you add your name as the main driver on a younger driver’s policy instead of them. This is known in the industry as fronting and is fraud. When you come to claim, this will often be checked out and your insurance will be invalidated.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Pick a car</b><br /><br />The combination of car, engine size and value all impact car insurance cost. It’s worth considering this when you buy; a big super-powerful 4 by 4 for a 17 year old would cost enough to make Bill Gates balk.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Fit a security device</b><br /><br />Any extra security will help, fitting an alarm or immobilizer (especially one approved by <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Thatcham</span></span>) will reduce the bill substantially.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Don’t modify your car</b><br /><br />The more changes you make to your car, barring security ones, the more you’ll be charged. Always make sure you inform your insurer of any modifications to your car, whether you made them or not, or it may invalidate your policy. A modification is anything that is not part of the standard vehicle specification including factory fitted optional extras, such as alloy wheels.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Reduce your mileage</b><br /><br />The less you drive, the cheaper your insurance will be. Where possible try and reduce your mileage. This may sound trite, but actually the real key is incorporating the extra insurance cost when you make long journeys not just the cost of petrol compared to taking the bus or train (also read <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Cheap Trains</span></span> article). If you drive your vehicle on business, always declare this rather than just include the business miles as personal, or the policy may be void.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Inform your insurer of any changes in circumstances </b><br /><br />This is crucial as it reduces potential problems in the event of a claim; even if it’s just your address. Trying to get insurance after you've had a policy cancelled due to a fraudulent claim is very difficult, very expensive and will follow you for the rest of your life.<br /><br />A change in circumstances includes moving jobs, as insurers beleive this can affect your risk. Scandalously, the unemployed often (though not always) pay higher rates for their car insurance, so do inform your provider if you're out of work but also check to see if it’s worth cancelling and moving elsewhere, as you don’t need to be at renewal to change insurer.</li>

If you’ve read these tips and thought, “it’s be quite easy to lie about this”, then of course you’re right. Yet lying on your insurance form is fraud. It can lead to your insurance being invalidated and in the worst case a criminal prosecution for driving without insurance. Don’t do it.</div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;"></span><h2 class="blueMSEBar" style="background-color: #0c0e9b; background-image: url(http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/BlueBars_pig.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border: 0px; clear: both; color: white; font-family: arial; font-size: 17px; line-height: 24px; margin: 30px 0px 30px 22px; min-height: 34px; padding: 13px 0px 0px; text-align: center; width: 566px;">
Tips and tricks for lowering car insurance costs</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">
If you’re trying to finesse the lowest price, there are a few more things to watch out for. Car insurance marketing is clever. Its aim is to make you feel you’re getting the best deal but to maximise the insurer’s profit at the same time.</div>
<ul style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 18px 18px; padding: 0px;">
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Get a ‘new’ quote from your existing insurer</b><br /><br />Often applying to your existing insurer as a new customer produces a cheaper price than its renewal quote. Insurers put out more competitive prices to attract new customers so simply start again and you could be better off.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Consider how much you’d really claim for?</b><br /><br />It's worth considering going for a policy with a higher excess (the amount of any claim you need to pay yourself). Many people will find that claiming for less than £500 worth of damage both increases the future cost of insurance and can invalidate no-claims bonuses, meaning it’s not always worth making a claim.<br /><br />So why pay extra for a lower excess? A few policies will substantially reduce premiums for a £1,000 excess, so try this when getting quotes. Of course the one downside with this is if you have a bigger claim you’ll have to shell out more, but often it’s a good balance of the risks.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Drive someone else’s car on your insurance</b><br /><br />If you have fully comprehensive insurance then often, although not always, it includes what’s called ‘driving other cars’ cover. This provides you with Third Party cover whilst reducing your mileage and therefore the cost of your own policy.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">New car, free insurance</b><br /><br />Buy a new car and it may include free insurance for a few years. While this is only worth a few hundred a year to an experienced driver, to a young car owner it could be worth thousands and is well worth taking into account when you add up overall costs.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">New Driver? Take an additional driving course</b><br /><br /><span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">PassPlus</span></span> is a Driving Standards Agency course aimed at helping new drivers (within 12 months of passing their test) become more confident on the road. There are six modules; town driving, all-weather driving, driving out of town, night driving, driving on dual carriageways and driving on motorways.<br /><br />The cost of the course is around £200 but varies depending on where you live and the instructor or driving school you choose. Yet many local councils offer discounts of up to 50%, usually for those under 25, and in Wales it only costs £20 (check if your council is <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">taking part)</span></span>.<div style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin-bottom: 1.385em; padding: 0px;">

Once you have the certificate some <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">insurers</span></span> then discount the price of your insurance but but as there are not many there’s a high chance you can get cheaper cover elsewhere.</div>

Extra tips for no claimers</h3>

This makes a substantial difference to the overall cost. If you do claim it's usually two years off this discount. This is deliberate to encourage people not to claim. You can also get a protected no-claims discount so that claims don't impact it.<br /><br />Remember though, if you do have an accident, even if you don't claim to keep your no claims discount, the price of the policy can rise simply because you may be assessed as a higher risk in the future.<br /></li>
<li style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 1px;"><b style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Try to keep your no-claims if switching from a company car to a private car</b><br /><br />If you have a no-claims bonus from driving a company car and try to find private insurance online, you'll find neither insurer nor broker will allow your previous no-claims bonus to count.<br /><br />Yet if you phone up most companies will give some form of ‘introductory or special bonus' to those switching to a private car. This is because these discounts are often applied manually as the online systems don't automatically allow a discount. There are also discounts available with brokers and some insurers where second cars for existing policyholders can attract introductory bonuses, but again these are call-centre not internet-based. See the Mulit Car Discount section in the main <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Car Insurance</span></span> guide.<br /><br />The overall tactic I would suggest is first of all use the <span style="color: #003575; font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Cheapest Car Insurance</span></span> four-step plan to establish your risk factor – then call the top three (or possibly five) providers listed and discuss this no-claims company issue.</li>

<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">1. Pay for prescriptions in advance</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
If you live in England and have to pay for your prescriptions (currently £7.65 each), you could save by buying Prescription Prepayment Certificates (PPCs). If you pay for more than 13 prescribed medicines each year, you could save money with a 12-month PPC costing £104, while a three-month PPC at £29.10 will also save you money if you need more than three prescribed medicines in three months.<a href="http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/1127.aspx" style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #005689; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;" title="">nhsbsa.nhs.uk/1127.aspx</a> or call 0845 850 0030.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">2. Use the "assessed charge" to cut £100 off your water bill</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
If you are single and live in a property in which it is not possible to have a meter installed, you can ask your water company to base your bill on an "assessed charge" which better reflects your consumption.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
The water companies try to keep this billing method quiet. If you think you qualify, ask your water provider for an assessment and see how it compares with your existing flat-rate bill. Plenty of people will save between £50 and £100 a year. For example, the average unmetered household water and sewerage bill is around £380. But <a href="http://www.unitedutilities.com/Our-charges-2012-2013.aspx" style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #005689; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;" title="">United Utilities</a>charges £272 for a single person under the assessed charge, and<a href="http://www.thameswater.co.uk/your-account/568.htm" style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #005689; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;" title="">Thames Water </a>charges £202.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">3. Save on train fares by using "carnets"</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Many train companies offer the chance to buy batches of single tickets, called "carnets", for both peak and off-peak travel, on many of their commuter routes. These last for three months and you pay up front. They offer great value if you make a few journeys a week. For example, First Capital Connect lets you buy singles from Stevenage to London King's Cross for £6.80 each way (ie: £13.60 return) compared with £14.80 for the cheapest off-peak return (although prices will change in early January).</div>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Carnet tickets are also available on longer journeys, and from most of the big train companies. The terms vary slightly – in some cases you get 12 trips for the price of 10, in others the price is discounted. If you regularly travel in and out of the capital, consider this option. Hull Trains, Virgin, Chiltern and several others offer carnet tickets.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">4. MOT your car at a council-run testing station</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Always have your car tested at council-run MOT testing stations. These typically charge full price for an MOT (around £55) but because they don't do repairs, they have no incentive to fail your car. Numerous people report how they faced a big repairs bill after a failed test at a garage. They then took it to a council-run site where it passed.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">5. Get £50 by avoiding water "run-off" charges</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
While most people are aware of water meters, how many know that they pay for all the surface water (rain) that runs off a property and into the public sewerage system? If your drainpipes that take rainwater off the roof of your home aren't connected to the sewerage system – and millions of properties aren't – you can apply for a rebate of between £17 and £50 a year.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
The water companies – or to be precise, the sewerage companies – apply a charge to treat that water, and if it's not applicable, then you don't need to be paying for it. This, again, is a little-known fact that the water companies don't exactly shout about.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
You have to fill in a form, and it may require a visit to your home. If you can show that the rainwater running off your property goes into soakaways, you can apply for the rebate. Curiously, there is no onus on the company that provides your sewerage services to automatically apply the rebate; you only get it if you apply.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">6. GroupSave on trains</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
If you're planning to travel by train with a group of adults or children, buy a GroupSave ticket. Up to four people can travel for the price of two adults on off-peak services – and you can add more children at a flat rate of £1 each.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">7. Promo and discount codes are exasperating – but worth trying</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
When buying items online, do a Google check first for any current discount codes before completing the checkout. Infuriatingly, most voucher codes you obtain online are out of date or prove worthless when applied. Many just bounce you into retailers' sites. But careful hunting around can elicit savings of 10% or more. Try dedicated smartphone voucher apps for the latest codes.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; background-position: 0% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-collapse: collapse; border-color: rgb(153, 153, 153); border-top-style: dotted; border-top-width: 1px; clear: left; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 17px; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding: 2px 0px;">
<strong style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">8. Delayed on the train? Claim the ticket price back</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
It's amazing how few people claim for delayed trains. The minimum compensation, by law, is 20% of the ticket value if the train is delayed by an hour or more. But individual train companies have more generous terms which you can find in their passenger charter. <a href="http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/sites/default/files/Passengers_Charter_Booklet_March_2012.pdf" style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #005689; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;" title="">Chiltern Trains </a>and<a href="http://www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/static/filemanager/Delay_Repay_Compensation_Form_11.03.pdf" style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #005689; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;" title="">First Capital Connect</a> give you 50% back if the train is 30 minutes late, rising to 100% if it's delayed by more than an hour. <a href="http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/assets/pdf/global/passengers-charter.pdf" style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #005689; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;" title="">Virgin Trains</a> gives you 25% back if the Birmingham/London route is delayed by more than 45 minutes.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">

These can cost £300 a year – for which you get travel insurance and breakdown recovery, plus some other services. But you can usually buy them more cheaply elsewhere. It should require no more than a simple phone call to your bank to degrade your account to the basic current account. While you're at it, dump lots of other dubious insurances: legal expenses cover (hardly anybody claims); mobile phone insurance (nearly impossible to claim on); and boiler cover (madly expensive).</div>

You may have the wrong tax code on your pay packet, which means you are overpaying income tax. Martin Lewis at Moneysavingexpert.com says some of his users have saved thousands after double-checking their code. He has a handy guide to check whether you're eligible for a rebate at <a href="http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/check-tax-code" style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; border-collapse: collapse; color: #005689; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration: none;" title="">moneysavingexpert.com/family/check-tax-code</a>.</div>

Don't be fooled by branded over-the-counter medicines. A 16-pack of Nurofen caplets costs £2 compared with Tesco's 16 pack of Ibuprofen caplets at 19p.</div>

<h3>
Things to consider when searching for a mortgage:</h3>
<ol style="margin-left: 20px;">
<li>Credit Score – all banks and building societies will review you credit file
to ascertain if you are an adequate risk. Most Credit applications such as
Equifax and Experian will score you depending on how well your financial
accounts are managed. Contrary to what you might think, having no credit on your
file is not normally a good thing because the lender doesn’t know what kind of
risk you are, that’s not to say you should rush out and take out as much credit
as possible, its more than likely that lenders will just ask for different
information is find out what kind of risk you are.
</li>
<li>Affordability – historically, lenders use to base their mortgage lending on
income multiples and some still do but now they are more likely, in the name of
responsible lending, assess an applicant affordability by looking at a
applicants incomings and outgoings. From there they will assess how much of a
loan is affordable based on your disposable income.
</li>
<li>Charges – there are a variety of charges connected with a mortgage
including; Higher Lending Charge, application fees, Product/arrangement fee and
maintenance fees to name a few. Most of these can be added to the loan amount
without affecting your loan to value but bear in mind that interest will be
charged on the total loan amount including the fees.
</li>
<li>Valuation reports – cost of a valuation report is dependent on what type of
valuation report you request and the market value of your property i.e. a basic
valuation report would cost in a region of £240+ while a full valuation report
with a building inspection would be in the region of £455 +. If this is carried
out by the lender then they will often charge this fee up front because a
mortgage application can be declined on the strength of a valuation report so
lenders will want to make sure they are not out of pocket. </li>
</ol>
When searching for a mortgage:<br />
<ul>
<li><span style="font-weight: 700;">Always seek independent financial advice from
a CMAP qualified mortgage intermediary –</span> a mortgage is a big commitment
and there are many different types of mortgage product out there on the market
so always get advice from an expert. An additional benefit is that some mortgage
brokers can obtain exclusive deals from some lenders which are not available to
the wider market. However bear in mind that mortgage brokers are paid commission
on the sale and a procuration fee from the lender if your mortgage goes through.
</li>
<li><span style="font-weight: 700;">Compare Mortgages Online</span> – it’s a
simple and easy thing to do. The internet holds a wealth of information and most
comparison websites will show a wide range of mortgage products varying from
fixed mortgages, buy to let, self build, and offset mortgages.
</li>
<li><span style="font-weight: 700;">Make sure when you submit your information
that it is spelt correctly and there are no mistakes –</span> after any spelling
mistakes or changes the lender will automatically search your credit file again
and each time will leave a footprint and if you have a lot of footprints on your
file it can make your application fail even if you are a good risk.
</li>
<li><span style="font-weight: 700;">Make sure you read all paperwork and that you
understand everything you are agreeing to –</span> you mortgage is the largest
financial obligation you will ever take on so make sure your happy with it
because once it exchanges you are legally obligated to the vendor.
</li>
<li><span style="font-weight: 700;">Make use of online mortgage calculators
-</span> these will give you an accurate idea of what you can afford and will
also give you an insight as to what your monthly payment could be allowing you
to budget adequately. Making sure you can afford the monthly commitment is
important because, as it is reiterated on every mortgage document you will
receive, your home is at risk if you do not keep up with repayments on your
mortgage or any other debt secured on it. </li>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #272626; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 25px; padding: 0px 0px 20px !important;">
<strong style="color: #37689b; text-decoration: none;">Google </strong><strong><span style="color: #37689b;">Adsense</span></strong> is one of the mostly used PPC ad network among millions of bloggers and webmasters.As you have seen, i personally use Google Adsense to monetize my content and <span style="color: #37689b;">make money</span> with my blog. Today i will explain how to increase adsense cpc (Cost per click ) with some simple steps. CPC in short can be defined as amount of <span style="color: #37689b;">money</span> you make per every click you got on your adsense ad.If you are getting very low cpc, as low as $0.01 per click, then no matter how much traffic your blog gets, you might not be able to make as much money you ever desired.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #272626; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 25px; padding: 0px 0px 20px !important;">
In this post, i will simply explain some steps to increase adsense cpc and make more money with Google Adsense from your blog.You might have heard about these steps to increase adsense cpc before in any other blog, yet i am going to review them again on my blog. In this post regarding steps to increase adsense cpc, i will explain what is Adsense CPC and how you can increase adsense cpc for your blog and increase your overall revenue.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; color: #0c394f; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 32px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 36px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<strong>Adsense CPC – What It Is ?</strong></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #272626; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 25px; padding: 0px 0px 20px !important;">
Suppose you are using Google Adsense on your blog to monetize your content and make money.Now if your blog is getting enough traffic but you are still making very little money with your ad network, then the only reason behind this problem is low cpc. CPC, as i previously explained is the value of every click or the money you make per every click you get on your adsense ad of your blog. Your adsense revenue mainly depends on CPC (Cost per click ), CTR (Click through Rate) and eCPM (Cost per 1000 impression ). The more is the value of these factors, the more money you will be able yo make.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; color: #0c394f; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 32px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 36px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px 0px 10px;">
<span data-mce-mark="1" style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>Steps To Increase Adsense CPC</strong></em></span></h2>

Just like above Ad Review Center, this is another option in your adsense dashboard to block certain categories and show only the ads relevant to categories you enable to choose. This is another simple trick to increase adsense cpc and show ads relevant to your content.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #272626; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 25px; padding: 0px 0px 20px !important;">

7. Another trick to increase adsense cpc is to attract targeted traffic towards your blog.You should try to get more traffic from countries like USA or UK rather than India. For every single click you get from USA or UK, you can earn $2-3 and from any click you get from india you will get $0.10 -$0.40</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #272626; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 25px; padding: 0px 0px 20px !important;">
8. Never forget this trick to increase adsense cpc. Always try to use text ads more than image ads as these ads will help you to get higher CPC than image ads. You can use these ads in posts to get more clicks and hence more money.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #272626; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 25px; padding: 0px 0px 20px !important;">

This will help you to increase adsense cpc and give better benefits.</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: 'Droid Sans', arial, serif; font-size: 24px; font-weight: normal; line-height: 22px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 15px 0px 0px;">

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDAj6a9Rrkvg64_VHa28JPe-p-Sq04SGZe_n21gFwjNbKhNG7q9EZok5UJ0Ai9REq2L6ETf_LDL1TW1Svg_wtoeyXP8cq6e4Xj51lyeqtJ3SSPpjNexvSWN669-cJMo3UqTUFX_Gb4ZKKA/s1600/3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDAj6a9Rrkvg64_VHa28JPe-p-Sq04SGZe_n21gFwjNbKhNG7q9EZok5UJ0Ai9REq2L6ETf_LDL1TW1Svg_wtoeyXP8cq6e4Xj51lyeqtJ3SSPpjNexvSWN669-cJMo3UqTUFX_Gb4ZKKA/s1600/3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Borrowing money is very hard job, especially with a poor <a href="http://moneysavein.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/why-checking-your-credit-history-is.html" target="_blank">credit history</a>, banks or money lending companies can expect a lot more and we end up repay a fortune. Having said that, lending companies or banks are prepared to take a huge risk by sanction a loan for an applicant with a poor credit history. Therefore beware that the better <a href="http://moneysavein.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/why-checking-your-credit-history-is.html" target="_blank">credit score</a> you have the better interest rate you will get for your loans.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz-tEXakBgXMbDnydoJaw3v6Bo_48IOomIL8-xPH6B7hAMMam2jDntWjKOKoL_qgSx2xZzpU162tIpGoXnjitAY_Ytvd_QthGGH8AwAVc6apZN1dKVWLL-eDYCWe1zPQN2hnwIhH76tkSh/s1600/1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz-tEXakBgXMbDnydoJaw3v6Bo_48IOomIL8-xPH6B7hAMMam2jDntWjKOKoL_qgSx2xZzpU162tIpGoXnjitAY_Ytvd_QthGGH8AwAVc6apZN1dKVWLL-eDYCWe1zPQN2hnwIhH76tkSh/s1600/1.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now, borrowing becomes part of the day today life for anyone, be it a wealthy business person or an average middle class family member or a student; in this day and age even governments are borrowing, so its no shame in doing that but it is if you pay a higher interest when actually you don't need to, because more lenders are available on the market and looking for a honest borrower.<br />
<br />
<strong>Research the market</strong>:<br />
<br />
Potential lenders are widely available on the market, do your research by spending more time on comparing the interest rates APR, penalty charges, length of the loan and further conditions. Especially, compare the over all re-payment cost because some lenders are very clever by indicating less monthly repayment but for longer period or by adding additional documentation charges or similar charges; also make sure that you read the term and conditions before apply for any loan, because in some cases if you miss a re-payment, then you will be charged over due fees, collection charges and penalty etc so beware of those conditions.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDYkigyMalTmslYLqKFQ4LZOKZNO-ZmITHwhOgzf1TA2U3Bjj__bAPmrD0qZFWs7Ek-TAVwAk1aYBWcn_-HLVoEcO4LWapm1TbqKzk_fR9gkpZe3a_fZmusN2FC3TIsEgOZjAQ2hrp9xg3/s1600/2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDYkigyMalTmslYLqKFQ4LZOKZNO-ZmITHwhOgzf1TA2U3Bjj__bAPmrD0qZFWs7Ek-TAVwAk1aYBWcn_-HLVoEcO4LWapm1TbqKzk_fR9gkpZe3a_fZmusN2FC3TIsEgOZjAQ2hrp9xg3/s1600/2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
More importantly, check if you repay the full loan amount during the loan period would there be any additional charges applicable, or how the interest rates will be calculated on that circumstances because it is very important during the loan re-payment period if you avail a cheaper loan from another lender it is wise to settle the expensive one and go for the cheaper option, is in it?<br />
<br />
Final suggestion, before you apply for any loan make sure that you have done your research and aware of all related terms and conditions and ready to accept the loan if a lender sanction one because every time you apply for a loan the lender will leave their credit check foot print on your <a href="http://moneysavein.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/why-checking-your-credit-history-is.html" target="_blank">credit history</a> which may reduce your credit score and eligibility.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQVGrcbpWLvUy_cW42FsscuPScz83yiAALvCD55Dct2hcg0YFWZIybdL1FpkDVvbQgJZlXlLFpjuIKytoV5M5sN-LabYBU8brdjaEeIJXG7d8jDZvj75HmazrTvw-2vX8tsNO0ojDrrecI/s1600/4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQVGrcbpWLvUy_cW42FsscuPScz83yiAALvCD55Dct2hcg0YFWZIybdL1FpkDVvbQgJZlXlLFpjuIKytoV5M5sN-LabYBU8brdjaEeIJXG7d8jDZvj75HmazrTvw-2vX8tsNO0ojDrrecI/s1600/4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
So do compare the available lenders' interest rates, always remember to use cashback websites such as <a href="http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/sal_raj?source=tellafriend" target="_blank">top cashback</a> to get the cheaper interest with a reasonable <a href="http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/sal_raj?source=tellafriend" target="_blank">cash back</a> as well.<br />
<br />
Good luck with your loan.<br />

</h1>
<div class="entry-content">
Do you want to <strong>make money blogging</strong>? If you do – you’re not alone. More and more bloggers are finding that blogging is a profitable medium. Whether it be to earn a few extra dollars a week to feed their coffee habit, or making enough money to stop them having to get a part time job to get through college, or whether they’ve got it to a point where they are able to make a full time living from their blogging – there are tens of thousands of bloggers who make money blogging.<br />
<h2>
How to Make Money Blogging</h2>
In this page I want to share some information for beginners on how to make money blogging. For a very quick and broad visual intro – check out this Make Money Blogging MindMap which visualizes just SOME of the ways bloggers make money blogging.<br />
<br />
First – let me start by sharing my own top Money Making Methods (updated regularly) but below that point you to some great resources and teaching on how to increase your income from blogging.<br />
<br />
<br />
<img align="left" alt="How I Make Money Blogging" border="0" height="156" hspace="10" src="http://www.problogger.net/wp-content/top-income-streams.jpg" vspace="10" width="156" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
What follows is a quick summary of my main income streams from blogging. Before you read it though – keep in mind that every blog is unique in how it can make money. Some of the following income streams will work on some blogs a lot better than others – the key is to experiment with as many as possible and see what works best for you.<br />
<br />
I’ve ranked them from highest to lowest.<br />
<br />
I hope you find it useful to see the mix and variety of ways that I earn a living from blogging.<br />
<br />
<br />
<h3>
1. AdSense</h3>
<br />
<img align="left" alt="Adsense" border="0" height="59" hspace="10" src="http://www.problogger.net/wp-content/adsense.gif" vspace="10" width="143" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Despite not using it here, I continue to use AdSense with amazing effect on my other blogs. I have them all set to show image and text based ads and find that 250×300 pixel ads work best (usually with a blended design). I don’t have much luck with their ‘referrals’ program but their normal ads work a treat and continue to be the biggest earner for me.<br />
<h3>
</h3>
<h3>
2. Affiliate Programs</h3>
<br />
<img align="left" alt="miscellaneous affiliate programs" border="0" height="129" hspace="10" src="http://www.problogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/images200711142317.jpg" vspace="10" width="134" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I run a variety of affiliate programs on my blogs – most of which bring in smaller amounts of money that don’t really justify a category of their own (but which certainly add up). <br />
<br />
These include recommending quality products like these here on ProBlogger: Thesis WordPress theme, Yaro’s Blog Mastermind Coaching Program and How to Launch the F*** out of your E-Book (and others) as well as some great products on my photography blog including 123 of Digital Imaging, David DuChemin’s amazing Photography E-Books and Mitchell Kanashkevich’s great ebooks.<br />
<br />
The great thing about many of these programs is that they are of such high quality that they sell themselves and I am being emailed from readers who sign up to them thanking me for the recommendation!<br />
<h3>
3. Private Ad Sales/Sponsorships</h3>
<img align="left" alt="private-ad-sales" border="0" height="131" hspace="10" src="http://www.problogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/images200711142314.jpg" vspace="10" width="129" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Private ad sales directly to advertisers have fallen for me in the last year (they previously ranked #3 on this list). This is partly due to a change in my own focus but also partly due to the economy as it is. <br />
<br />
<br />
4. Chitika <br />
<img align="left" alt="Chitika" border="0" height="63" hspace="10" src="http://www.problogger.net/wp-content/chitika.png" vspace="10" width="176" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Chitka continues to be a great performer for me on my blogs. They traditionally have worked best on product related blogs although their Premium ad units now convert well on a larger range of blogs.<br />
<br />
<h3>
5. Amazon Associates</h3>
<img align="left" alt="Amazon-Logo-1" border="0" height="60" hspace="10" src="http://www.problogger.net/wp-content/amazon-logo-1.jpg" vspace="10" width="140" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Amazon’s affiliate program has been one of my big movers in the last 12 months. <br />

<strong>Make money with online surveys</strong></div>
<div class="pull-out image">
<img alt="" class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-33462" height="300" src="http://www.myfamilyclub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/make-money-online-with-paid-surveys-220x165.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div class="pull-out image">
</div>
Online surveys are a great way to make money online for relatively little effort. In fact some of our readers make hundreds of pounds a year by doing online surveys.<br />
<br />
While they won’t make you rich, it’s perfectly possible to earn £40-£50 a month from them. If you often have 15-20 minutes to spare in front of your computer at lunchtime or in the evenings, give them a go!<br />
Always remember three things with online surveys:<br />
<ul>
<li>NEVER pay to join an online survey site – the best ones are always free (see the recommended sites below)</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>We recommend setting up a separate email address for surveys (like Hotmail or Gmail) so your main address doesn’t get clogged up with survey emails</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Join<strong> at least five</strong> survey sites to get regular paid surveys (if you just sign up to one you won’t get many paid surveys to complete). </li>
</ul>
The top five online survey sites:<br />
<br />
1. MySurvey<br />
2. Swagbucks<br />
3. Inbox Pounds<br />
4. Survey Head<br />
5. Toluna (Toluna sometimes pay you up to £15 to test products at home - which you then get to keep!)<br />
<br />
For more information, see our guide on how to make money with online surveys.<br />
<h2>
<strong>2. </strong><strong>Get cashback online</strong></h2>
If you buy things online, you’re missing a trick if you don’t use cashback sites like Topcashback. Again, these can net you literally hundreds of pounds a year if you use them regularly (last year I got £90 cashback just for buying a mobile I was going to get anyway).<br />
<div class="pull-out quote">
<blockquote>
You can make between £40-£50 a month with online surveys<br />
</blockquote>
</div>
These sites pay you to shop by giving you between 2%-12% of your spend back on hundreds of high street shops and online stores. Why do they pay you? It’s simple: stores give cashback sites money as a ‘thank you’ for sending customers their way. The cashback site then splits this ‘thank you’ money with you (to encourage people to keep using them).<br />
<br />
The best two cashback sites are Topcashback and Quidco (but bear in mind Quidco keeps the first £5 of cashback you make to cover their costs, while Topcashback is free).<br />
<br />
<strong>Important! </strong>In order for sites to ‘track’ your cashback, make sure you clear the ‘cookies’ of your internet browser before buying something through a cashback website.<br />

The heading appears cheaky, isn't it? Yes, it is infact that is the intention because most of the credit card companies are very cheaky, they want people to spend more money via there distribution channel.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXSNG6s-K6YsLg4SlcKsC_SLqkMLoXkrcEmIplqN9MFu_4ZbEwFJ92PAXaljPFbaLbXaawMW6AsjQrbFsoaFKmid5ziruXC0rXu6e42yphwSxjdrGuWn06TIcj_ZyLPjvTn79mYoc95sj2/s1600/cards.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXSNG6s-K6YsLg4SlcKsC_SLqkMLoXkrcEmIplqN9MFu_4ZbEwFJ92PAXaljPFbaLbXaawMW6AsjQrbFsoaFKmid5ziruXC0rXu6e42yphwSxjdrGuWn06TIcj_ZyLPjvTn79mYoc95sj2/s1600/cards.bmp" height="249" uea="true" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">
To save our money while scratching our credit cards, firstly we need to ask why on the earth banks are providing credit cards by saying you can use the credit limit with out charging any upfront cost, but at the same time when apply for a personal loan there will be upfront cost involved? because basically banks will not approve credit cards to people with the poor <a href="http://moneysavein.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/why-checking-your-credit-history-is.html" target="_blank">credit history</a> (click the link to find why it is important to check your credit history).</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">
It is simple because poor credit history means low income profile or with bad financial behaviours which means you can't afford to repay the money in time. Therefore, banks want to attract customers who can afford to repay the loan but not as a complete repayment. Here is the tricky game play by most of the banks providing credit card services. </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">
If you mis a payment then first comes first, late charge fees? what is this? it means if you happen to mis any payment then this will bite you with over due payment or late charge fee, then next your credit history will have the consequential impact which means you will lose some credit scores. Infact banks would welcome the customers who would likely to mis thier payment but will be prepared or can afford to repay the money or the minimum payment. On the top, a higher interest charge will also incure of your overdue balance and so on. So be it, the delay in repayment or repaying only the part payment or repaying only minimum payment that is where the banks can get thier maximum benefit from the customers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">
There are a few banks that would provide very generous amount of credit limit to thier account holders, with a very good <a href="http://moneysavein.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/why-checking-your-credit-history-is.html" target="_blank">credit history</a> or income etc, but any how beware of what I have mentioned above and act wisely; because it is always "better be safer than sorry".</div>

<br />
So to understand what is credit history, we need to think as a money lender as to understand first what is the need for a credit history. Banks and lenders are basically required to establish wheather a borrower has a capacity to repay the loan with interest and in time. To gain such a critical and substancial data, they need to have a centralised data base where someone's personal bank history can be accesed, but generally, banks can only access to thier own account of a person excluding thier other financial commitments and past history of repayments or arriors with other lenders because it is against law or banks are very relectant to share the personal data of their customers to each other.<br />
<br />
So there is need for a centralised data centre where THERE WILL BE A CREDIT SCORE CALCULATED based on the history of your financial activities be it the loan, credit cards, bank accounts, no of years you are being holding such account, repayments, missed payment, overdraft, mortgage accounts, its details, phone contracts, direct debit details, addresses you lived in the past and so on.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV43QMIyl0pSCsLmbSPO3yE7VrbrETLUcwbboOG8QfHnOZ2sPj5TOaO_0QRCai4HKSUKgPKIYm3SPpeZlwSJKfP8tPN85R8h_Mhl-h9yxXJfXkAYB2dprxdGxWBKPGDVfEcVoXUpJwB-pR/s1600/credit+history.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV43QMIyl0pSCsLmbSPO3yE7VrbrETLUcwbboOG8QfHnOZ2sPj5TOaO_0QRCai4HKSUKgPKIYm3SPpeZlwSJKfP8tPN85R8h_Mhl-h9yxXJfXkAYB2dprxdGxWBKPGDVfEcVoXUpJwB-pR/s1600/credit+history.bmp" height="321" uea="true" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
To fullfill the gap companies like experian, equiafax, and checkmyfile are emerged and they are offering one month free trial to check your credit history, also to clarify any missing data. Based on the above details of yours they calculate a generic value to asertain your repayment capacity.<br />
<br />
Most of the lenders use two of the above companies to verify a credit history and score prior to sanction the loan, now a days major companies in the UK and US verify credit score of a prospective employee before making a job offer.<br />
<br />
So it is vital to check and monitor your credit history, especially if you are planning to get a loan in a near future. <a href="http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/tamilscafe?source=tellafriend" target="_blank"><strong>click here</strong></a> to get a <a href="http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/tamilscafe?source=tellafriend" target="_blank">cashback</a> for checking your credit history on trial basis, but make sure that you unsubscripe your account within the notice period if you don't want to continue with your credit history account on a continuos basis. But most of the credit history checking companies are very genuine to cancel the trial accounts.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
Saving moeny when you travel is quiet an aritistic formula which needs very simple efforts. Most of us think only financial advisors can save money, in fact if you know how to make an excel sheet then you are almost know how save money.<br />
<br />
Money savings start by plan ahead and monitor your progress, be prepared to put a recovery plan when things go out of budget. Ok, we know the basic priniciples as to how we can start savings, now I am going to describe how we can really start saving the money and observe that we have really saved some.<br />
<br />
<strong>Plan Ahead:</strong><br />
<br />
First, we should plan ahead of our journey which means first ask the following questions to yourself,<br />
<br />
<strong>Where I am going?</strong> you should first familiarise yourself with the location map, city name and name of the place where you are intend to stay, if you are planning to stay at a hotel then try to explore other options such as B&B, Travel lodges, last minute.com to minimise your accommodation expenses. Search for comparision sites to keep your accommodation at minimum. However choose the best option based on your personal circumstances.<br />
